The #boat ride down Pottuvil #Lagoon is quite chillaxed especially if taken in the evenings. You can see a range of birds, a couple of crocs and if you're lucky some Elephants along the bank too! #SriLanka #Travel #ArugamBay Follow @mevanpeiris on Instagram

#DidYouKnow? Most advertisements of #clocks or #watches display the #time at 10:10 Why? Because it apparently represents a smiley face :) It's 10:10pm at home and I've got two smileys from the bedside table! :) :) Follow @mevanpeiris on Instagram

#Zomato invited me for a #foodie meet up at the #Japanese Restaurant at Independence Arcade - Tsukiji Uoichi. I was late (as usual) and only managed to Insta this super, Green tea flavoured Crème brûlée which was for dessert. The #TeriyakiChicken was also very good and (I heard) the #sushi was too! :p Follow @mevanpeiris on Instagram

The Japanese Peace Pagoda found at the end of #JungleBeach in #Unawatuna, #Galle. Built by the Japanese Nipponzan-Myōhōji order, it's designed to inspire peace and to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds, to help unite them in their search for world peace. #SriLanka has four peace pagodas. These were initially built as a symbol of #peace in the #Japanese cities of #Hiroshima & #Nagasaki where the U.S.A. deployed atomic bombs and killed over 150,000 civilians, at the end of #WorldWarII. By 2000, 80 Peace Pagodas had been built around the world in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Follow @mevanpeiris on Instagram
