The Ena de Silva House is probably the most impressive Structure Relocation in #SriLanka. The House was originally built by #GeoffreyBawa in 1963 in #Colombo Thereafter once the land was sold, the Bawa Trust with the help of various #architects, students and volunteers measured every inch of the property (including the pebbles and bricks on the floor!), did a measured drawing, disassembled the building brick by brick (literally) and reassembled it in #Lunuganga on a Bawa owne property. After seeing this recreation I have to agree that measuring stones on the ground may not be a waste of time after all! Follow @mevanpeiris on Instagram
